LIMITED WARRANTY ON RITCHEY FRAMES
Ritchey warrants that its frames are free of defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty extends to the original owner of each Ritchey frame for five years from the date of purchase. The limited warranty on paint is one year and is subject to the terms of the one-year limited warranty stated above. This limited warranty does not apply to components or other items attached to the frame, such as seat posts, handlebar stems, brakes, wheels, front forks or drivetrain components. Such components are covered by the warranties (if any) offered by the manufacturers of those parts.
During the first five years of the original owner’s ownership of a Ritchey frame which was purchased new from Ritchey or an Authorized Ritchey Dealer, Ritchey will repair or replace, at its discretion, a frame deemed by Ritchey to be subject to this limited warranty. This limited warranty is not transferable and does not cover damage from accidents, crashes, neglect, corrosion, abuse, improper maintenance or modification, components (whether properly installed or not), use different from the frame’s intended purpose, or normal wear and tear. Warranty claims require proof of purchase and should be submitted to an Authorized Ritchey Dealer for evaluation, or to Ritchey, if purchased directly from Ritchey. Ritchey advises that its frames be inspected at least once a year by a professional bicycle mechanic for signs of wear and tear. This inspection may need to be done more frequently, depending on riding conditions and usage. Consult your Authorized Ritchey Dealer for more specific advice.
The original owner shall pay the cost of returning the frame to Ritchey, travel to and from an Authorized Ritchey Dealer, and any reassembly of the bicycle following return of the original or a replacement frame by Ritchey. Ritchey will not return any frame that, in its judgment, is unsafe for its intended use.
This limited warranty does not cover counterfeit products, products which were not purchased new by the person submitting the limited warranty claim or products not purchased from Ritchey or an Authorized Ritchey Dealer. All claims under this limited warranty must be submitted during the limited warranty period, regardless of when they arose.
THIS IS A FULL AND COMPLETE STATEMENT OF RITCHEY’S LIMITED WARRANTY. RITCHEY DOES NOT ALLOW ANYONE, INCLUDING RITCHEY AUTHORIZED RETAILERS, TO EXTEND ANY OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. THIS INCLUDES ANYTHING SAID BY ANYONE WHEN DEMONSTRATING RITCHEY PRODUCTS. RITCHEY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS AND IMPLIED, OTHER THAN WHAT IS STATED IN THIS DOCUMENT. THIS INCLUDES THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS. ALL REMEDIES AVAILABLE TO THE ORIGINAL OWNER ARE STATED HEREIN. RITCHEY’S MAXIMUM LIABILITY HEREUNDER SHALL BE THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE ITEM SUBMITTED FOR WARRANTY COVERAGE. RITCHEY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow disclaimers of implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.
